Our national holiday is approaching, and it will find us sharing with the world the most incredible and unexpected pandemic ever seen. There have been probably more serious pandemics decades and even centuries ago, but now we have stronger medical and scientific tools to defeat diseases and here we are, defenseless.
Will this strange life we are living now, in the midst of lockdowns, curfews, masks and fear leave us a strong lesson about how to coexist in our planet?
We need to build a better future for the coming generations. Peru is among the 7 most affected countries in the world because we did not build a health and educational system who could prepare our people for situations like this.
Poor countries, rich countries we are in similar situations.
